I have now applied to three schools. All that is left to do is to turn in my fafsa. ASAP In order of preference, here are the schools I have applied for.
1. Berea College – I pine to go here. I loooong to go here. I dream of going here! (I also dream of interning with FAHE when I attend Berea. Nerd. I know.)
2. Northern Kentucky University – Mainly for the fact that I love the area. The campus is nice and there is a good local transit system. There is an amazing band there called Duppy A’ Jamba, who I would certainly become a groupie roadie for.
3. University of Louisville – ACCEPTED – I was told it is a nice place to go and have a handful of friends who live in the area and already a room that I can rent only a mile or two away from campus. Good deal overall. Going to go check it out in a week or two.
I am also considering applying to Kentucky State University. I have heard some amazing things about their Whitney Young program and have a few encouraging connections. Living in Frankfort has been an amazing experience, especially in the last 4 1/2 months working with the local shelter. It is nice feeling like part of a community for once. Staying here another few years doesn’t sound terrible. Although, I confess, I am fairly nomadic.
I will keep my college situation updated. I am too nervous to do anything otherwise. Haha.
